Uproot Farm is a small vegetable farm about an hour north of the Twin Cities, near Princeton, MN. We will grow on five acres in 2013 and offer CSA shares as well as sell at the Fulton Farmers Market in Minneapolis. Additionally, we sell a small amount of produce to City Center Market in Cambridge, as well as Gastrotruck and Eastside Co-op in NE Minneapolis.
2013 is our third season at Uproot after three years apprenticing on organic vegetable farms. This season we’ll be expanding into new ground and doubling the number of CSA Shares we offer.
The land we’re farming has been in conventional production for several years. We use cover crops, compost applications, and fallow fields in an effort to rejuvenate the soil.
